One fine day in school

I was in 4th standard in Roman catholic school, Shivamogga. That evening we had science class in park adjacent to the school. The teacher asked a question which required bit conceptual reasoning.

I knew the answer, but it required bit explanation

This sunday (27th Feb 2011)

Well, well,
this was supposed an interesting and entertaining day, courtesy  world cup match between India and England. It was a sunny and lazy [perfect :-)] morning, woke up late probably 9AM. I had yummy jammy breakfast. Then I went for a long walk for about an hour circling Electronic City and glided though few leaves of Lewin's GENE Essentials. By the time I started to boil Sunfeast Yupee noodles, India won the toss and elected to bat.
As expected Sehwag  started blasting England bowlers all around the park, however Bangalooru was about to witness a masterclass from sachin. Great sight for all sachin's fans when he lofted world's best spinner like local net bowler. Yuvraj was impressive, but I feel there was a tactical error from Mahi. He should have sent Yusuf ahead of him. Yusuf needs to spend some time in the middle before he explodes.
I felt India were 10 runs short, but should be more than handful for restricting Top heavy England batting. But I was wrong, we saw unbelievably calm and composed innings from England skipper. They cruised to 270 without any hiccups.

Players to watch in world cup 2011

Tamim Iqbal:

Fearless uninhibited stroke player. He can make even best bowlers look ordinary. He may not win you game single handedly, but he can set up tricky chases well to Sakib and co. Home grounds and support can motivate him to destroy bowling attacks.

Yusuf pathan:

Very Very dangerous. He will be difference between Indian team watching helplessly the victory celebration of opponent team on podium or being there experiencing the joy. His calmness during crisis and brutal hitting when required can make opposition experience goosebumps at any situation during games.

Cameron white:

One of the cleanest striker of cricket bowl and excellent player of spin. According to me one of the few players in world cup who can make opposition chase 250 instead of 220. I think not only opposition teams but Australian management have forgotten his prowess in legspin bowling. In absence of Michel Hussey, he has to play game finisher role to perfection, if Australia wants to make it big in this world cup.

Hashim Amla, Jonathon Trott and Gautham gambhir:

Accumulaters, all three can score at the strike rate of 100 without hitting single air borne shot. I believe this style of play will be of huge demand during this world cup.
Both Amla and Trott were test match specialist. they have turned themself into most reliable and consistent match winners for their respective countries.
Same cannot be said about Gambhir, started international career with stutter. But established himself after his heroics in T20 world cup 2007. Recently transformed his style to play risk free cricket.
